Our main goal is to raise money for the homeless dogs in North Carolina, and find their forever homes. We are teamed up with an animal rescue group called, Catering to Cats and Dogs. This rescue, and many others need donated funds for vetting, shelter pull fees, food, and other items to care for the animals they have saved from horrible situations.

Hi! My name is Emma Hewson, and I am a senior in high school attending the Community School of Davidson. I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned exactly what happens to some of the animals sitting outside of the pet stores. When I learned that many animals were being put to sleep in shelters everyday, I knew I would spend the rest of my life fighting for those innocent, and deserving animals. I was often turned down by many of my local shelters and rescues when I wanted to help. They would say I was too young to work with the dogs, but that I could do a donation drive if I wanted to help. I did a few drives in my school, but that was not enough for me.
I recently came across a rescue group called Catering to Cats and Dogs. Since signing up to volunteer with them, I have organized, and run fundraising and adoption events, handled dogs at events, and have had the opportunity to watch families fall in love with a dog to ultimately take him/her home. I and other volunteers have come up with Rescue Ropes as a way to raise the funds we need to keep saving dogs from horrible situations. To us this is a passion to keep these animals safe, and live the life they all deserve to live no matter the breed or age. I want to thank you in advance for your support by purchasing a Rescue Rope.
